Round1 offers are expected to be released on3rd June 2016. Please go through the procedure, carefully, in the event of getting an offer.
Offer intimation is by SMS/ Email/ JOAPS.
1. Confirmation of Acceptance of Offer using "Accept and Freeze", Rejection of offer using "Reject and Quit" and Withdrawl from accepted offer using "Withdraw" are through One Time Password (OTP) sent to the registered Mobile Number. Keep your Mobile Phone in the network coverage area and DO NOT Block the two SMS sender IDs, IITMMT and IITMDS.

2. Organizing Institute DOES NOT Answer to the queries on Eligibility Requirements or Minimum Educational Qualifications. Contact the corresponding Admitting Institutes.

3. One or more choice(s) entered by the Applicants will become INVALID if they fail to satisfy Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQ) required for the course(s). The list of valid choices for such Applicants is provide HERE.

4. Applicants who have not submitted a valid Nationality Certificate should submit the certificate to the Admitting Institute at the time of joining.





Steps to follow when you get Offer of Admission


  1. Once you get offer by SMS/ Email/ Webpage, log into JOAPS
  2. Download the Offer of Admission from Admitting Institute
  3. Choose any one of the choices given below in the portal
  4. Accept and Freeze: Choose this option when you want to accept the present offer and would like to join the programme without any upgradation (if any)
    Accept with Upgrade: Choose this option when you want to accept the present offer and would like to upgrade to your higher choices (if any) in further rounds
    Reject and Quit: Choose this option if you do not want to accept this offer and opt out of the JAM 2016 Admission process.
  5. Confirm your choice by entering the OTP sent to your registered mobile number for Accept&Freeze and Reject&Quit decisions.
  6. Download the Response to Admission Offer. Sign and send the scan copy by email to jamadm@iitm.ac.in and hard copy by speed post to Organizing Institute
  7. Accept ** decisions are followed by payment of Seat-Booking Fee (Additional transaction charges, may be added)
    Note: The Accept ** decisions are considered as complete only with successful payment of Seat-Booking Fee within the due date mentioned in the offer document
  8. Applicant reports to Admitting Institute on the day of admission as per the offer letter from Admitting Institute.
Points to Remember:

 1. If you DO NOT successfully pay the Seat Booking Fee or if you have used the option "Reject&Quit" or if you have NOT taken any decision within the due date mentioned in the offer, your offer of admission will be cancelled and you WILL NOT BE considered in JAM 2016 admission process further.

 2. Applicants, who chose Accept ** decisions, can withdraw from the programme by log into JOAPS and by selecting Withdraw. Withdraw decision is confirmed by entering the OTP (one time password sent to registered mobile number) in JOAPS. Please note that WITHDRAW option is active only upto 25th June 2016. For applicants who chose "Withdraw" within the due date will be refunded the Seat Booking Fee after deducting a sum of Rs. 1000/-.

 3. Applicants, who do not withdraw from the programme within the due date or do not join the programme in the Admitting Institute, will loose the offered seat and also forfeit the Seat Booking Fee.

 4. If an Upgraded Offer is issued, then the earlier offer will no longer be valid. Applicants, who get Upgraded Offer, should also excercise one of the three options but need not have to pay the Seat Booking Fee once again. If they fail to respond or choose Reject&Quit the upgraded offer, then their upgraded offer also is cancelled and they will no longer be considered for Admission further.
