• Candidates who have secured marks greater than or equal to the cut-off marks of their respective category are eligible to apply for JAM 2024 admissions.
• JAM 2024 facilitates admissions to various postgraduate programs including:
• M.Sc.
• M.Sc.(Tech)
• Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D.
• M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree
• M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree
• Admissions to over 3000 seats across 89 postgraduate programmes at 21 IITs will be coordinated by IIT Madras for the academic year 2024-25.
• Applications must be submitted through the JAM 2024 website between April 10 and April 29, 2024 (5 PM). April 24, 2024 (5.00 PM).
• Candidates seeking admission have to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹750/-.
• Candidates who have submitted the Application Form can modify their programme choices till the last date of submission of application.
• Candidates should regularly check for offer of seats and exercise their decision through the Application Portal.
• Candidates who have been offered and accepted the seat should pay a Seat Booking Fee of ₹15,000/- for General/OBC-NCL/EWS category and ₹7,500/- for SC/ST/PwD category ONLINE within the stipulated time period.

Candidates who have completed an undergraduate degree or currently studying in the final year of undergraduate programme are eligible to apply for JAM 2024 examination.

Foreign Nationals with Indian degree are eligible to apply, subject to the policy of the Admitting Institutes.

Eligible for Admission

Candidates who qualify in JAM 2024 will be eligible to apply for admission to the Academic programmes of the Admitting Institutes subject to satisfying the Eligibility Requirements (ERs) and Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs).

Admission shall be given as per All India Rank (AIR) in each Test Paper of JAM 2024, reservation policy of Government of India, and the availability of seats.

JAM 2024 is open to all nationals (Indian/Foreign). For admission, foreign nationals are required to satisfy the rules and regulations of the Admitting Institute pertaining to foreign students. For further details, they are advised to contact the concerned Admitting Institute.
